It is not possible to finance the supply of equipment and activities related to works to private enterprises directly from the pre-accession funds.

The private enterprises are foreseen as potential beneficiaries in some Operational Programmes for cross border cooperation of Croatia and neighbouring countries. This option is not available in other so-called Transnational Cooperation Programmes.

Generally, it is necessary to apply for tender for project financed within pre-accession assistance who is able to fulfil the criteria mentioned in the tender. In case the tenderer was successful, the contract is signed with accredited contracting authority, whilst the funds are realised by fulfilling contractual obligations.
