Jedan od strukturnih fondova, uspostavljen Odlukom Europskog parlamenta i Vijeća br. 3699/93/EZ. U Financijskoj perspektivi 2000.-2006. godine promiče održivo korištenje ribljih resursa i osigurava financijsku podršku za modernizaciju ribljih flota, razvoj akvakulture, zaštitu pomorskih područja, ulaganja u riblje luke te proizvodnju i promidžbu ribljih proizvoda na tržištu. U Financijskoj perspektivi 2007.-2013. zamjenjuje ga Europski ribarski fond (eng. kratica EFF), koji se više ne smatra strukturnim fondom.
One of the Structural Funds established by the Decision of the European Parliament and Council No. 3699/93. In the Financial Perspective 2000-2006 it promotes sustainable utilisation of fish resources and provides financial support for modernisation of the fleets, developing aquaculture, protection of maritime areas, investment in fishing port facilities and upgrading the processing and marketing of fishery products. In the Financial Perspective 2007-2013 it is replaced by the European Fisheries Fund (EFF), which is no longer considered a Structural Fund.
