Further enhancing of the functioning of Croatian AFCOS system with the aim of efficient protection of EU financial interests

Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia together with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia presented the new Twinning light project “Further enhancing of the functioning of Croatian AFCOS system with the aim of efficient protection of EU financial interests”, financed by the EU. The objective of this project, financed under European Union IPA 2009 Programme for Croatia, is to ensure the efficient and appropriate protection of EU financial interests in the Republic of Croatia within the process of preparation for EU Structural Instruments environment through supporting the improvement of competences and roles of the bodies in the AFCOS system.

Closing ceremony of the Twinning Light Project ‘Strengthening the Administrative Capacities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia’

Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Justice and the Center for International Legal Cooperation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, marked the official end of the IPA Twinning Light Project ‘Strengthening Administrative Capacities of the Croatian Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia’.

Increasing the administrative and managerial capacities of the employees in the Ministry of Justice was the main purpose of this twinning light project that has been carried out in the past 7 months. As of August 2012, Dutch and Croatian experts have worked closely together to develop a managerial competency model, to draft a strategy for Human Resource Management, and to enhance the competencies of managerial staff especially in managing work processes, all with the purpose of establishing a more efficient and more transparent managerial structure in the Ministry of Justice.
