COMPLETION OF THE REHABILITATION PROJECT OF THE RAILWAY LINE SECTION VINKOVCI TO TOVARNIK TO STATE BORDER
The closing ceremony of completion of the rehabilitation project of the railway line section Vinkovci to Tovarnik to State Border, co-financed with the ISPA (Instrument for Structural Policies for Pre-Accession) programme funds, was held today at the railway station Vinkovci.
During the ceremony audience was addressed by Branko Grčić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Zlatko Komadina, Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and Paul Vandoren, Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia.
Supply contract for Procurement of patrol vessels for Border police
Central Finance and Contracting Agency signed a contract for “Blue Border Surveillance – Phase II” within the scope of IPA component I for 2008 intended for strengthening capacities and institution building. The purpose of this contract is procurement of patrol vessels for enhancing operational capacities of Croatian Border Police.
This contract is valued 4.28 million EUR. The amount of 3.12 million EUR refers to EU contribution, whilst the rest pertains to national co-financing. The beneficiary of this supply contract is the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia which was signed with company from Estonia - Baltic Workboats.
Presentation of the project "Natura 2000"
Final results of the project EU IPA 2007 “Identification and setting-up of the Marine part of Natura 2000 network in Croatia – Marine NATURA 2000 ” were presented at the Final visibility event on Tuesday, 20th December 2011., in Hotel Palace, Zagreb. The purpose of this project was to assist SINP and to support the Croatian institutions in transposition of EU Habitats Directive in order to contribute in finalisation of marine part of the NATURA 2000 network as an obligation of Croatia as the country acceding to the EU.

Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Finance, Customs Administration and Italian Customs Agency presented the Twinning light Project “Harmonisation of the customs risk management system with the EU standards and best practice.
Tender opportunites for small and medium entrepreneurs
Small and medium entrepreneurs again have the opportunity to submit their proposals for grants available from EU pre-accession funds. The total amount available for SMEs is 3 million EUR.
Central Finance and Contracting Agency published Call for Proposals for grant scheme: Support for Increasing the Competitiveness of Croatian SMEs financed in the framework of IPA component IIIC – Regional Competitiveness for 2011.
Improvement of Free Legal Aid System
On Friday the 16th of December 2011, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia, and Kaunas Service of legal aid guaranteed by the State of the Republic of Lithuania marked the official start of IPA Twinning light project “Improvement of Free Legal Aid system”.The project is of great importance for Croatia in the framework of the EU accession process.
