EURES services to employers
Closing ceremony of the project „EURES services to employers“ were held at the premises of the European Union Information Centre. The overall objective of this project was to promote mobility and recruitment on the European level, and its purpose to support the Croatian Employment Service in the development of quality EURES services for employers.
The Twinning partners involved in this project included the Croatian Employment Service and the Swedish Public Employment Service. The project was worth 200.000 € and it officially ends on 19 February 2013.
Strengthening Capacities of the Ministry of Interior for Crime Prevention
Closing Ceremony of the Twinning Light Project “Strengthening Capacities of the Ministry of Interior for Crime Prevention” financed under EU IPA 2008 Programme for Croatia were held in Zagreb. The objective of this project was to enhance the capacities of the Ministry of Interior in the field of crime prevention, harmonization with the related European policies and following the best practices of the EU Member States. Project lasted for 8 months and was worth € 200 000.
“Strengthening of Croatian administration in charge of accreditation of agriculture paying agency”
On Thursday, 14th, February 2013 a formal closing ceremony marked the official ending of the IPA twinning project “Strengthening of Croatian administration in charge of accreditation of agriculture paying agency”.
Opening Ceremony for the Twinning Light project “Enhancing Identification of Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings”
Croatian Government Office for Human Rights and the Rights of National Minorities together with Romanian National Agency against Trafficking in Persons officially launched the EU funded Twining Light Project “Enhancing Identification of Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings”. The overall objective of the project is the enhancement of the capacities of key stakeholders in combating trafficking in human beings; thus raising the level of protection of victims of trafficking in the Republic of Croatia in order to meet EU standards.
The Project has a budget of 191.888, 20 € and will be implemented over a period of 6 months, from17 January 2012 till 16 July 2013 by the Romanian National Agency against Trafficking in Persons, the final recipient being the Croatian Government Office for Human Rights and the Rights of National Minorities.
Opening ceremony of the project "Integrated Border Management-IBM"
Delegation of the European Union in the RepublicofCroatia, the Ministry of Finance, and Customs Administration, Border Police Directorate presented the twinning project IBM – Further strengthening of enforcement capacities of Customs and Border Police. The objective of this project worth € 500.000 - is further development of an efficient and effective Croatian Integrated Border Management system, which will establish greater security at international borders and diminish cross border crime and illegal migration thus providing the right balance between safety and security and trade facilitation. The project is financed by the European Union and will be implemented within 12 months.
SRCE upgraded its computing infrastructure with assistance of EU Funds
Final presentation of the results of the project „Providing graphics processing units in high performance computing environment“ took place at the University Computing Centre of the University of Zagreb. Through the project Graphic Processing Units – GPU nodes worth 89.298,95 euros (approx. 675 thousand kunas) have been provided and integrated into the existing Croatian National Grid Infrastructure (CRO NGI). The project has been financed by the European union with 75.904,11 euros (approx. 576 thousand kunas) from the pre-accession programme IPA IIIC Regional Competitiveness and has been implemented by the University Computing Centre in Zagreb - SRCE.

The closing ceremony of the Twinning Light project "Strengthening the work of the State School for Judicial Officials through upgrading its professional training programmes and work flow" was held at European Union Information Centre in Zagreb.
The project was financed from the European Union IPA 2008 Programme and jointly implemented by the Croatian Judicial Academy, the Spanish Centre for Legal Studies and the Spanish General Council for the Judiciary. The main objective of this project with a total budget of 198.921,75 EUR was to enhance the professionalism and efficiency of the judiciary in Croatia through raising the quality of initial training for future judges and state attorneys.
New Twinning project started
The Agency for the Audit of the European Union Programmes Implementation System and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia held an opening ceremony of the Twinning Project “Strengthening of the Administrative Capacity of the Agency for the Audit of European Union Programmes Implementation System (Audit Authority) for the Audit of the EU Cohesion, Agricultural and Fisheries Instruments” financed under IPA 2009 Programme for Croatia.
