In the Financial Perspective 2000-2006 four funds with the objective of providing financial support for poorer regions in the EU in order to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the EU and meet the challenges of the single market. The Structural Funds include the Guidance Section of EAGGF, ERDF, ESF and FIFG. In the Financial Perspective 2007-2013 only ERDF and ESF are considered the Structural Funds. The reformed objectives include a) convergence, b) regional competitiveness and employment and c) European territorial cooperation.

ekonomska i socijalna kohezija i
odgovorilo na izazove Jedinstvenog
tržišta EU. Strukturni fondovi
uključuju: Komponentu usmjeravanja
EAGGF-a, ERDF, ESF i FIFG. U
Financijskoj perspektivi 2007.-2013.
strukturnim fondovima se smatraju
samo ERDF i ESF. Njihovi su novi
ciljevi: (1) konvergencija, (2)
regionalna konkurentnost i
zapošljavanje te (3) europska
teritorijalna suradnja.
