The objective of this project worth 220.000 € was to strengthen capacities for energy efficiency in the building sector in the Republic of Croatia and to assist in developing the basis for increasing the number of nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB).
The project is of great importance for the Republic of Croatia because both partners closely cooperated in developing the necessary recommendations for an update of the nZEB Plan and drafting a roadmap for its implementation, specifying the exact timeline and institutions involved as well as including an assessment of its feasibility. BMWi assisted the MCPP in establishing a respective profound groundwork of data sets, analyses and simulation approaches. Additionally, a priority of the project was the strengthening of the institutional and administrative capacities related to nZEB.
The objective of this project worth € 900,000 is to strengthen the capabilities and efficiency of the Republic of Croatia in the field of environmental protection and mitigation of climate changes by improving management, monitoring and more precise reporting on chemicals, emissions, hazardous substances and accidents as well as to upgrade and integrate the current Seveso databases with Geographic Information System within Croatian Environmental Information System. Experts from Italy and Austria co-ordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Protection of Land and Sea with Minoprio Foundation, Italy, and supported by the Environment Agency Austria are going to provide the Croatian Agency for the Environment and Nature with their expertise and support in this project.
Short term project purpose, development of guidelines on competences and job descriptions with elaborated key competencies for relevant positions of police officers, was achived by using comparative analysis of the human resources management systems and the system of training and education of police organizations of the Republic of Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Croatia. Training of civil servants involved in human resources management system and the system of training and education have improved the capacity of civil servants in this area. The long-term goal of this project is to strengthen the institutional capacities of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia for the purpose of an efficient and effective police organization.
