Co&Co Chambers project finalised in the area of Samobor

After the implementation of 11 months, the project of the Women Entrepreneurship Centre from Samobor was finalised in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce from L'Aquila in Italy, with the title Co&Co Chambers. The purpose of the project was directed to promoting and awareness rising on cross-border cooperation and methods of improving adjustment of small and medium-sized enterprises to changes on the market, in relation with the accession of Croatia into the EU.

Final conference of the project “Harmonizing Learning Opportunities with Market Economy Requirements (HOMER)”

The Krapinsko-zagorska County and the Town of Labin, have developed a way of improvement of status of young persons in the labour market, with the implementation of the project "Harmonizing Learning Opportunities with Market Economy Requirements (HOMER)" within programme PHARE 2005 Slovenia-Hungary-Croatia Cross Border Cooperation programme, it has been said at the final conference in Rabac on 8 and 9 August.

The project “Vinkovci to Tovarnik State Border Railway Signalling Rehabilitation” worth 16.411.114,98 euros signed

The project Vinkovci to Tovarnik State Border Railway has been signed on 25 July 2008 for a total contract value of  16.411.114,98 euros. This project is co-financed from the State Budget in the amount of 12.413.367,37 euros, while it is financed from the EU ISPA fund in the amount of  6.236.223,69 euros. The abovementioned contract is signed with Italian company Bombardier Transportation Italy S.p.A. Unipersonal in consortium with SITE S.p.A.

Press Conference held by Finance Minister Šuker

European Commission acknowledges the Croatia's efforts during the period of last six months in the field of management of pre-accession EU funds. Therefore, on Friday 25th July 2008 the suspension of contracting of projects from PHARE 2006 was removed and 5 million EUR from IPA programme were also defrosted. However, the advisor of the EC Delegation in Croatia Oscar Benedict stated that Zagreb must make further efforts in implementation.

The EU funds available to Croatia were presented on the press conference held by Mr. Benedict and Finance Minister Ivan Šuker. Mr. Benedict stated "We aknowledge Croatia's efforts and now have a possibility to remove the suspension".
