Works Contract on Construction of Wholesale Market of Fish and Fishery Products in Tribunj

Central Finance and Contracting Agency signed Contract on Construction of Wholesale Market of Fish and Fishery Products in Tribunj. Project is financed in the scope of IPA I 2008 EU pre-accession programme and it is a part of project titled:  “Strengthening the Market Component of the Croatian Fisheries Sector”. The purpose of construction of this object is the improvement of market infrastructure in the area of fisheries. This project will enable trading in fish and fishery products without intermediaries. This way, more quality and accessible market will be ensured.

The above mentioned works contract was signed with Coning Ecogradnja, Inc. in the total amount of 700.304,37 EUR, from which the total amount of 525.228,28 EUR is related to EU contribution. It encompasses all civil, installation and craft works related to object construction of 399 m²surface area, including the works on installation of air conditioners, landscaping and connection on communal infrastructure.

Works will be implemented in line with FIDIC contract conditions for construction (New Red Book), with respective special contract conditions, as well as applicable legislation of the Republic of Croatia related to the field of construction, applicable Decision on Construction Conditions and project documentation.

Works related to construction of wholesale market will commence during the fall of 2011, whilst their completion is expected to be realized until the beginning of next tourist season. 

Tender procedure for supply of equipment for wholesale market in Tribunj is currently executed.  This contract will be financed from the same programme. Through its implementation the procurement of modern equipment for the wholesale market will be ensured.
