Handover ceremony of 16 vehicles for road transport inspection and traffic

The aim of the project, valued 2.2 million EUR is to enhance the work of the Inspection Service of the Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure and police officers of the Ministry of the Interior in carrying out activities related to control of digital tachographs, control driving time and rest and control of vehicles transporting dangerous goods.

Improving the control of the vehicle is provided through the purchase of equipment necessary for the implementation of these controls. In this respect through the project were delivered 9 vans equipped as mobile stations to control the vehicle on the road (5 vehicles are intended for the MOI and 4 for inspection services of MSTI) and 7 official vehicles equipped to carry out inspections on the roads (interceptors).

The value of vehicles and equipment is € 340,950 and were acquired in the procurement process conducted by the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA). Vehicles were supplied by the Slovenian company Dat-Con. The co financing grant funded by the European Union under the IPA amounted € 255,712, while the rest was financed from the national budget.

The project duration was 13 months. It started in June 2010 and it was finished in July 2011.
