New Twinning project started

The overall objective of this project which is being implemented by the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety Northern Ireland (UK) and Northern Ireland Care Overseas (NICO) is to improve protection of the rights and interests of children and youth placed in homes for children and youth with behavioural disorders. The project, with a budget of €611.111,00 is financed by the European Union and will last until December 2013. The project purpose is to improve the quality of work of experts working in homes for children and youth with behavioural disorders. The opening ceremony will provide comprehensive information regarding the structure and implementation of the project and present the expected results of the project.

The project is of great interest for Croatia in the European Union accession process. Through the implementation of the project the capacities of the homes for children and youth with behavioural disorders to protect the rights and interests of children will be further strengthened.
