Čakovec: Final conference InveStimulation project within PHARE 2006 programme

InveStimulation project, focused on joint promotion of investment possibilities in frontier region County of Međimurje and Hungarian County of Zala, aimed at shaping and standardizing offers for investors, in order for them to choose the most appropriate investment location in that region. Thereby, it is regarded in the REDEA, the project has set fundaments for more qualified promotion of Međimurje as an investment region.

In cooperation with the County of Međimurje, as one of the project partners, promotional package, which includes Guide for investors with DVD and internet site, for the local self-government and entrepreneurs has been prepared. The first conference on the investment possibilities in Međimurje, has been held 18 and 19 June in Spa Saint Martin, where, among others, investment possibilities and experience of the current investors, has been presented.

Matija Derk, director of the REDEA, emphasized that after project completion, REDEA continues with investment promotion, and planning to use possibilities to finance activities which attract investment and strengthen economic activities in Međimurje from the EU funds.

The project is worth 104.469,76 euros, of which 75 per cent is financed from Phare 2006 programme INTERREG IIIA Neighborhood programme Slovenia-Hungary-Croatia 2004-2006.
