Signed contract for Establishment of Centers for Implementation of IPPC Directive

Project “Establishment of Centres for Implementation of IPPC on Regional Level in Croatia”will last 16 months and consists of two components:

–          Provision of assistance and training for industry and centre staff

–          Establishment of regional IPPC centres

The primary objective of this project is related to provision of assistance to industries and other stakeholders involved in implementation and issuing Environmental Permits. This will be achieved through establishment of regional IPPC centres, as well as through dissemination of information on IPPC regulations and process for application for IPPC and data management on status of environment for industries and other stakeholders.

Furthermore, this project will strengthen the capacities of stakeholders through \”train the trainers\” programme for the purpose of creating knowledge that could be distributed to other regions.

Through realization of this project, the assistance for establishment of 5 regional IPPC centres in towns of Sisak, Rijeka, Osijek, Varaždin and Split will be provided. Central office for coordination of project activities will be established in Zagreb.

The contract for implementation of this project was signed with the company Safege Consulting Engineers from France in consortium with Prospect C&S from Belgium and Witteveen+bos from Netherlands in the total amount of 1.060.800 EUR. The amount of 954.720 EUR is related to IPA contribution, whilst the remaining amount is financed from national funds.
