The project aimed:
- To improve capacities of the Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts staff regarding the process of visa issuance.
- To continue the alignment of Croatian visa legislation with further developments in the EU/Schengen acquis
The project lasted for 6 months during which numerous experts from Finland and Romania visited Croatia analysing the legal framework and giving training on issues related to visas and falsified documents. The project was implemented by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. The project also featured experts from the Border Guard of Finland, the National Bureau of Investigation of the Finnish Police, as well as the General Inspectorate of Border Police of Romania.
