The project worth € 237.170,65 commenced on 25 April 2014 and lasted 6 months.
Project leaders presented the results of the project as follows:
- Guidelines on working methodology for internal auditing of the Cohesion and Structural Funds for internal auditors.
- Capacity of the CHU staff and internal auditors in the field of the Cohesion and Structural Funds audit enhanced through targeted trainings (workshops on working methodology , the CHU coordination role, training of trainers, study trip to the Republic of Latvia).
- Recommendations for improvement of coordination and communication mechanisms among internal auditors in pilot institutions on central level and draft Cooperation Agreement.
- Recommendations for improvement of organisation of internal audit units within pilot institutions (job descriptions, recruitment plans).
