Croatian customs authority harmonising procedures with EU

The EUR 735,000 project will be financed by the European Union. It will be implemented over the next 12 months by the Customs Administration as the beneficiary and by the Austrian Agency for European Integration and Economic Development and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, as the twinning partner.

The main purpose of the project is to support Croatia in meeting the EU pre-accession requirements for chapters 16 and 29 of the acquis communautaire, which deal with taxation and customs.

The project will enable interoperability between Croatia\’s and the EU\’s customs system once Croatia joins the EU. (Hina)
