The project has made recommendations to upgrade:
- The education and training programme for qualifying professionals, enterprises and industry;
- the preparedness and response system for chemical accidents;
- the public information and public participation system;
- the chemical information system including a central registry;for the safe management of dangerous chemicals.
This project, worth € 0,83 million, was implemented by The British Standards Institution (BSI) in association with AEA Technology (AEA) and the Sustainable Development Association (SDA). The implementation of the project commenced in September 2010 and is scheduled to finish by 22nd September 2012.
The Project was implemented through close cooperation with the beneficiaries, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection of the Republic of Croatia.
